Ruby! YEAH!

Awesome Skillcrush team member and Web Developer Blueprint alum Randle suggested that we make t-shirts like this someday... Whaddya' think?! 

While I work on getting us a bulk order of those, I want YOU to work on learning the first set of programming fundamentals in the Ruby language.

If you've learned a programming language before (like JavaScript - Hint, hint!), these will be familiar to you. If not, I'm so excited for you to learn all about them!

Now I know that thus far we have been a little abstract. The lessons have been highly conceptual and only loosely tethered to reality (aka how you would use Ruby in a real-world/real-job situation).

Just bear with us for two more days, and I promise that, starting on Monday, you'll begin to see how to use all this Ruby stuff to make yourself an app that you actually care about.

As always, we're available to help you debug issues in our Google Group. We even have a whole thread specifically for install issues!

You know what else you'll find in the Group? A newly-minted pile of Ruby installation experts - i.e. your classmates who just went through the process themselves. They might be able to offer some words of wisdom (or at least some support and sympathy!) so don't hesitate to reach out to them too.
