CAREER TRACK

Ruby on Rails Developer

Are you itching to get coding?
I bet you are!

Well, still no Ruby today. But we are going to be doing something pretty fun: learning about the command line!

The command line is this great little black boxy thing where you can watch a text-based version of Stars Wars. Cool, right?

OK, fine. Adda is making me tell you that terminals aren't ONLY for watching Star Wars. In fact, Star Wars watching only accounts for 80% of my terminal time. The rest is spent zooming around folders on my computer causing murder and mayhem creating and deleting files (and other fun things you're going to learn all about too).

But first, we have to get philosophical...

Did you know that a developer is only as good as his or her ideas? No? Well, you heard it here first!

What I'm trying to say is that knowing how to code is great, but it's really great if you know what to DO with your new skill. Especially, if you know how to wield your coding skills to maximize their powers.

Not sure what I am getting at? Well... you'll have to watch today's lesson video to find out.
Your To Dos

Remember!

Class events are completely optional and we'll be hosting more throughout the course. So, if you can't or don't need to use them now, just keep an eye on these course emails and the Class Events signup page for information about the next round...
